Any one own a Fursuit

Does any have one in maine? I've never seen one in person before.

I've seen a few at PortCon a couple times and I believe AirRaiser has one

I forgot about portcon, i'll have to see about going next time.

I'm hoping to be stateside during PortCon :/

I'd like to go to it, so if you do get to come back maybe we could meet. I've been hoping to meet other furries.

It's certainly my plan to be back in Maine in time for PortCon so that would be awesome

I'd love to have a fursuit by then but I highly doubt I will. A head alone can be so costly >.<

I am the same would like one but to much money right now.

I find myself looking at fursuit makers too often XD

I know which maker I'd prefer and I think that makes it hurt all the more

Yeah I now how that is, looking around just makes me want one more. Then I get sad because i cant get one.

Yup I have a partial suit that includes head, hands, feet and a tail.

Omf all the Maine furrys should go to Portcon! One day i'd like to try to get a group shot of us at the con. I try for artist alley every year, gotta represent the fandom! Try to show that the media hype about us only represents a small portion.

Yes so much yes! Would be a mind overload for me two, I've never meet another furry in person or gone to a con of any kind.

PortCon would be a good start for you than

fairly small, but has the standard panels, events, and setup of other cons

The artist's alley always seems to have 2 or 3 tables aimed at furries or have furry stuff like anthro commissions or tails. AirRaiser tends to have a table and is easily our biggest representation there!

I've seen a few furries, with the fursona con badges or in fursuit. I believe a fursuit even won a contest last year :3

Then i'll have to see about getting the money saved up and get there.

Entry is pretty cheap 30 bucks for a pre-reg. 4 day pass I think

I'm not sure about travel however, I've only ever passed Mechanic Falls on my way to visit family XD

I think the website said $35 for four days, and getting their is easy but the costly part is a place to stay, also extra money for stuff I like and want to by. Oh and food.

I did the math and with 10 people we would need $1860 for the rooms and con price. thats without tax and food, and stuff. so about $2000 in all.

well the portlanders probably wouldn't need rooms, though a furry centric room party would be pretty epic XD

Ok well 10 people would be 3 rooms most you can have is 4 in a room.
So that would be 4/4/2/ or 4/3/3/. And true some might not need rooms, so that would cut down the cost. Even if only 2 didn't the price would drop by $520 by removing one room.

Well I could easily stay in Yarmouth at night and spend the day in Portland so I certainly wouldn't need a room

Ok but still right now it seems to be just you and me talking about this so i dont know if we could get 10 people. I myself dont know any one that would want to go.

I'll open a meet-up topic for PortCon and we'll have to see if people join in with time. If not, I'm sure 3 or 4 mainer furries could be round up for a single room
